  ‘12:30? Cool.’ Written By Archie Williamson Directed by Archie Williamson DRAFT 1 16/09/22 Title Sequence Black screen with Directed, featuring, music by credit CUTS FROM BLACK SCREEN TO FIRST SHOT EXT: Afternoon Autumn Day — Sunny day, clear skies, Blackheath common on a bench in the middle of the grass, no roads or cars too near. We see two boys, TOM and BRUCEY sitting on a bench having a conversation. When we cut to a close up shot of them we hear a text notification.   IMESSAGE/WhatsAPP TEXT SOUND   BRUCEY: What's that Tommy boy?  Jaw drops from Tom, excited look on his face Tom: Mate, you’ll never guess who’s just secured a date with Grace… Brucey: Oh shit! When is it? Where are you gonna go — What are you gonna wear mate?!  Brucey is almost more excited than Tom   Tom: She said something about lunch (or cinema) tomorrow afternoon at like 12:30. Short Film Proposal

  Title: ‘The Date’ or ‘4:30? Cool.’ Introduction My initial idea for my short film follows a male main character whos secured a date with a pretty girl and how he gets ready for it. The points of conflict in this film will be from the male character experiencing everything that could go wrong before his date happens. There will be elements of juxtaposition in this film as during the sequences of the main character getting ready, throughout the chaos there will be periodic cuts to the aforementioned girl in a very calm, tidy, serene setting with relaxing music. The final scene will be at the location of the date after the MMC’s long, chaotic and exhausting journey. Some time will pass before he receives the dreaded text saying ‘Sorry i cant make it :(‘.
