Cool.’ Written By Archie Williamson Directed by Archie Williamson DRAFT 1 16/09/22 Title Sequence Black screen with Directed, featuring, music by credit CUTS FROM BLACK SCREEN TO FIRST SHOT EXT: Afternoon Autumn Day — Sunny day, clear skies, Blackheath common on a bench in the middle of the grass, no roads or cars too near. We see two boys, TOM and BRUCEY sitting on a bench having a conversation. When we cut to a close up shot of them we hear a text notification.   IMESSAGE/WhatsAPP TEXT SOUND   BRUCEY: What's that Tommy boy?  Jaw drops from Tom, excited look on his face Tom: Mate, you’ll never guess who’s just secured a date with Grace… Brucey: Oh shit! 3 act structure

  ACT 1 Establish characters Using a phone message/call/flashback to set up the idea of ‘The Date’ Male character conversation with friend saying how excited he is for the date and how he wants to impress - ref superbad convo between jonah and michael OR MMC and friend discuss the date, in a park/pub/house/garden This followed by a montage edit of beers being drunk for example - cans being put down and filling a table full of them. MMC passes out and wakes up to sound of alarm The realises the date is that day and scrambles to wake up ACT 2 Cuts to shot of male character sleeping through alarm - multiple shots of sleeping positions and alarm going off Scrabble to wake up and get dressed and ready for date Juxtaposed to female character being composed Gets ready, forgets zip card/rail ticket, then goes to get it, forgets house keys, then gets on bike - punctured tire - increasing frustration - a comedic and desperate scramble ACT 3 Decides to run, walk, jog to either train station ( to

  Slap:  2015. Directed by Nick Rowland. UK -         Con is nearly caught by his dad doing his makeup. He then goes to boxing, and his girlfriend turns up to watch him spar. He gets home, dresses in women’s clothing and does his makeup again; outside we hear gay slurs, and someone chasing his gay friend. He knocks to try and get in but Connor can’t bring himself to open the door while he is in makeup and a dress, but when he hears him being beaten he goes out and fights off the attackers. In doing so, he has to explain why he is dressed like he is to his friend, and shows him his makeup. Connor’s girlfriend, Lola, comes back to his boxing gym but doesn’t know about the makeup. He gets told to ‘dress up’ for a party, so goes out in drag. At the party, people think it’s a joke; his friend Archie, the only one who truly knows, tries to kiss Connor, but he hits him, and Archie in return causes. a public argument. It turns out Connor has been stealing Lola’s makeup, and she breaks down. In
